Audition for the Orchestra
Auditions are held throughout the season as needed. Please feel free to request an audition at anytime. All positions are non-compensated, volunteer positions unless noted here.
One should prepare two solo works of contrasting styles (or two contrasting movements of the same solo work). Woodwind and brass players should also prepare several standard orchestral excerpts of their choice. In addition, candidates on all instruments will be asked to play an excerpt from the standard repertoire which they will receive upon arrival at the audition venue.

Prince George's Philharmonic is a community orchestra which performs five concerts each season, at various venues in Prince George's County Maryland. We rehearse September through November and January through May on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 until 10:00 pm.
